Sausage Drying Rack
Sausage needs to hang to dry in a cool place before smoking. Here in Alabama, the only cool places are found in the second week in January.
I made a rack that fits in place of the top shelf of my beer
fridge. I hated to take the beer out,
but preventing food poisioning outranks thermal cycling the suds.
The rack frame is made of 1-1/2 x 3/16 galvanized flat bar. The pins are 1/2" cold rolled mild steel. All butt welded. I wiped the pins down with vegetable oil to prevent rust.
